1360/1700 Engines for Escorts/Fiesta and Kitcars
Block Assembly:
Rebuilt unit with crank, conrods and pistons assembled in the block. It uses Hepolite pistons and Vandervell bearings. The block surface is refaced to ensure complete flatness. Water and Oil plugs are removed and the block is chemically cleaned. Finally the block is repainted.

Where we list full engine installations, these are
literally engines and ancillaries (all new) from the bellhousing forward. The only items not supplied are those
peculiar to a particular car, such as throttle cable, exhaust manifold, or
coil. Apart, therefore, from oil and
water, the engines are ready to start.
Bear in mind that, at first sight, this might look like an expensive
option, but there are a lot of small items that will be tiresome to locate at
breakers, etc. Unlike some other engine
suppliers, our installations do include a clutch and alternator because we feel
these are essential items that need to be fitted correctly.
Should you wish to use any
second-hand parts, you need only order the new parts as required.

mated with Type 9 five-speed gearbox as fitted in the Ford Sierra. We can

1700cc 145hp Specification Engine
Not unlike our 135hp unit.
The extra 10hp is obtained by using the Kent 244 Camshaft. This cam shifts the
power upwards. You will see in the power curves on page 21 the difference
between this unit and our 135 unit. However this unit is by no ways a race
unit. It still remains a pleasant unit to drive, particularly in a lightweight
kit car. The other major changes are the use of our Maxiflow 1A head and the
use of ARP big end bolts. Includes Lighten & Faced flywheel.

These engines are produce good torque and performance. The extra capacity from the 2.1 [5%] allows moderate tuning without producing a spiky power curve. The 135hp version drives like the standard engine but with 30% more power!

We fit Hepolite pistons and Vandervell bearings with the reground crankshaft. The block surface is refaced to ensure complete flatness. BLOCK ASSEMBLYS:
Unit
assembled with crank, rods and pistons. The block is rebored with Hepolite
pistons. The crank is reground and installed with Vandervell bearings. The
block is chemically cleaned, core plugs replaced and repainted. The block is
refaced to ensure correct sealing of the Head Gasket.

These engines are fully reconditioned, using our
block assemblies, new High Pressure Oil Pump, Tensioner and Water Pump. The top
end of the engine uses our Maxiflow I head and the Kent CVH22 camshaft. A
reconditioned flywheel is also fitted.

We
can now offer a cheaper 1900cc unit with reduced power. Although with 126hp on the EFI engine this is still
a significant increase over the standard engines 105hp. It still produces great torque due to its
capacity. This new unit uses our blue print camshaft. The cylinder head is converted to Lead
Free specifications but not modified. A vernier timing gear
is required with this unit. The engine comes fully built and balanced
but is not supplied with a flywheel and clutch. |

You
can also use this engine with Twin DCNF Carburettors or Twin 40 DCOE; s. The
power output with Twin Carbs is raised to 130HP without any loss of torque. |

High Performance 1900cc Units

Fully built engines using long stroke cranks and
oversize pistons. These pistons feature controlled rate expansion for low
emissions and good combustion. The engines are built using our Maxiflow
1 Lead Free head and the Kent CVH22 in INJ spec OR CVH 34 in Turbo spec . A vernier cam gear
is fitted to ensure correct cam timing. These engines produce fantastic power
but importantly have a great deal more torque than the 1600cc units. When installed in your car this has the
effect of making significantly quicker.
The unit is fully balanced and comes complete with a
STD clutch.
